We’re really excited to share this coffee from La Plata in the north of Huila. 5 producers contributed to this lot with 50% coming from Fernando Garcia who has a local varietal called ‘Bourbon Manzano’ with the other 4 producers providing Colombia varietal. This region is a microclimate that’s perfect for growing coffee with very little direct sunlight – about 3 hours per day – which creates more sugars in the cherry.

BREWING TIPS

To get the most of the fruit out of this coffee we recommend using an Orea with water at 90°C using 18g of coffee, 270g of water and aiming for a 3 minute brew. Pour 40g of water over the grounds and let bloom for 30 seconds, then pour the rest of the water in 60g doses in 30 second intervals.
