London Eye and Royal Festival Hall in London, UK, with the large observation wheel rising behind the beige stone building under a cloudy sky.

Caravan Southbank opens on Festival Terrace at the Southbank Centre, December 2026. Our tenth (and biggest) restaurant will be set across two floors inside a couple of reconstructed railway arches overlooking the Hayward Gallery, next door to the Royal Festival Hall, and a short walk from the BFI and the National Theatre at the heart of London's South Bank.

We're open every day, serving Caravan-roasted coffee and breakfast first thing, a well-travelled menu through lunch and dinner, and cocktails poured from a Tap Tower at the Circle Bar. On the weekends, brunch will be served until late afternoon.

A WELL TRAVELLED MENU

The menu at Caravan Southbank will be rooted in the way we’ve always loved to eat: global flavours, seasonal ingredients, and dishes that feel fresh, vibrant and full of character.

From breakfast and brunch favourites including avocado on toast and Caravan-roasted speciality coffee to nourishing grain bowls, small plates and larger dishes, the Lunch and Dinner menus move naturally through the day, with a full drinks list and cocktails alongside.

Drawing on flavours from the Middle East, Asia and Europe, dishes range from one bite Gildas, Arancino and White Crab Brioche Toast, through to Chicken Schnitzel, Dedham Vale steak, Pizza and Grain Bowls.

PRE-THEATRE DINING ON THE SOUTH BANK

Dinner before a concert at the Royal Festival Hall, a play at the National Theatre or a film at BFI Southbank, timed so you're in your seat with room to spare.

A pre-theatre prix fixe menu will be available  from January. Until then, book an early table and add your show time to the booking.

DESTINATION: THE SOUTH BANK

On Festival Terrace, overlooking the Hayward Gallery, Caravan Southbank takes cues from Brutalist architecture, the restaurant pairs concrete with warmer, tactile materials: clay, cork, wool and timber. Sand, burnt yellow and russet run throughout, with an open kitchen at the heart of the main dining room and takeaway coffee from The Klink, outside.

COMING JANUARY 2027

In January 2027 we open the rest of Caravan Southbank:

  • A covered terrace
  • An 18 seat private dining room and bookings for 18+
  • the upstairs cocktail lounge
  • The Klink: a street-facing
    hatch built into the archway
    for coffee and cocktails to
take away, the first of its
    kind for Caravan
