Alba Rosa is the current president of her cooperative's women’s association, Manos de Mujer, and was our gracious host during our visit to Honduras in January 2023. Alba Rosa fell in love with coffee as a child by watching her parents on their farm, but only began learning about organic production when she joined COMSA in 2011 as a young woman. Through the cooperative’s training programs, she has learned to follow regenerative farming methods, and is now an advocate of a movement called ‘La Finca Humana’ or The Human Farm. She uses as little water as possible for her production, and pays close attention to the climate during processing to ensure that she gets the best results.
